The Alabama Society of CPAs, along with WIAT CBS 42 and Regions Bank, will sponsor a live, call-in Tax Hotline during the week of Feb. 18. The hotline is a public service for residents within the broadcast area of Channel 42 and designed to provide answers to simple tax questions.
The phone lines will be manned by members of the Birmingham Chapter of the Alabama Society—all licensed CPAs with tax expertise—as a community service of the chapter. Viewers are asked to tune in from 6 - 7 a.m. Feb. 18-22 to speak to a local CPA. CPAs will also answer questions submitted via e-mail.
“This is a great opportunity for Birmingham CPAs to share their knowledge. We enjoy fielding the questions and offering suggestions to the callers,” said Tom Grainger, president of the Birmingham Chapter of ASCPA.
Take advantage of this opportunity to get your day started with answers to your tax questions. Call (205) 488-4025 from 6 – 7 a.m. on February 18-22, and watch WIAT for tax advice.
The Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants is a statewide organization working on behalf of over 6,400 members to promote the professional interest of the Alabama CPA.
