The Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants is the professional association for CPAs in Alabama. For students and career-starters, we’re here to help you any way we can on your journey toward becoming a CPA and establishing yourself in the profession. ASCPA has two special membership classifications for soon-to-be CPAs.

Student membership ($15) is available to college students who have completed introductory accounting courses at an accredited college or university. If you’ve completed school but haven’t yet taken the CPA exam, you qualify for our Associate membership ($35). As a member of our organization, ASCPA will be here to help you:

Prepare for the CPA Exam

With discounts on both live courses and review software, ASCPA has you covered when it comes to CPA exam studying. ASCPA members receive $250 off Becker CPA Review courses and $400 off ExamMatrix review software.

Stand Out

Looking for a way to stand apart when you start applying for jobs? Membership in a professional organization such as ASCPA looks great on a resume. In fact, with more than 6,400 members across the state, chances are pretty good that your future boss is a member, too.

ASCPA’s e-newsletter is geared specifically toward college students and emerging professionals. The latest information on preparing for the CPA exam (and resources to help), tips for job hunting, resume writing and advancing your career and highlights from society events across the state is delivered to your inbox once a quarter.

The Alabama CPA is published 10 times a year and provides articles and updates on issues affecting the CPA profession.

Our Young CPAs are very involved in the community. With an exciting variety of service projects like the Young CPA Charity Golf Tournament, Chili Cook Off, Gulf Coast Service Camp, CPA Ambassador Program and the local food, book and clothing drives for charity, you’ll love getting involved in our community service projects.
