Support the Faculty, Students, and Future of Jacksonville State University
Friends of JSU:
Our school suffered tremendous damage from a tornado on March 19, 2018. For those of us that attended JSU, Merrill Hall held a lot of memories. Merrill Hall, which housed the College of Business, has been declared unsalvageable. The storm did damage beyond repair.
As College of Business graduates, we know that the JSU teachers are committed to their responsibilities to the school, the Jacksonville community, and especially to the students. As with most teachers in Alabama at any level, kindergarten through graduate school, these teachers spend their own money to purchase supplies and technology that are not provided through the school’s tight budget. These items are also lost.
The Alabama Society of CPA’s is setting up a fund dedicated to helping the College of Business faculty members, our teachers, to replace the supplies and equipment that they owned personally that were lost in the storm. Most of my former teachers are long retired, but the dedicated people who filled their shoes need our help.
If you did not attend JSU, you had dedicated people at your school much like the teachers at JSU. We are asking the CPA community to come together to help. Please consider this request carefully and decide what your contribution will be. Any amount great or small is greatly appreciated.
