Course Overview

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic is presenting extensive challenges across the board. For individuals and business owners, government stimulus and assistance programs are coming online to help. This self-study will cover the recent legislative activity designed to help individuals and businesses during the crisis, including The Families First Coronavirus Response Act & The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

Topics covered include loan forgiveness through The Paycheck Protection Program, Economic Injury Disaster Loans, payroll tax credits, and other provisions that affect both individuals and businesses, such as the technical corrections regarding the depreciation of qualified improvement property. The webinar will also include a discussion of the potential areas for which guidance and/or legislative action may be needed to address the Alabama individual and corporate tax impact of these provisions.
