What's the best way to leave a legacy? Pay it forward.
Pay it forward by volunteering for our annual Classroom Blitz throughout November 2018. This program is conducted by the Young CPA Cabinet and administered by the Alabama Society of CPAs, and since its start-up has reached over 30,000 students to provide financial education and awareness of accounting as a career. With your help, we can continue to make an impact on students by providing an exceptional outreach program to high schools all across the state of Alabama.
Want to get involved?
Contact us to sign up to speak during November at an Alabama high school about financial literacy and accounting careers. Financial literacy and career awareness is a requirement for every graduating high school student, but it also helps them prepare for the the real world.
Signing up to volunteer starts early this fall. We will provide a current list of high schools that have registered to participate. If you see a school you can volunteer to visit, you'll enter your name and contact information to be matched with that class.
If you are only available for a certain number of class times, that is no problem! Just note which class days or times you can do! We understand you have a busy schedule of your own and appreciate what time you can contribute towards this special program.
Need training and teaching materials?
In November, you can download your lesson's PowerPoint and other instructor materials that we will provide to registered volunteers.
How long do I have to sign up as a volunteer?
Please volunteer as soon as possible so that "your" teacher can coordinate specific dates and times.
